Tuesday, Sept 14

Tonight we worked on Achievement 1. We had a fitness training course with 8 stations. We completed 1l: jog for 5 min; 1cde: front, back, falling roll; 1g: elephant, frog leap, and crabwalk; 1f: jump your highest; 1b:walk a line; 1a: play catch. The boys really enjoyed running around the building.
Following the course, we went inside and worked on a craft that will take a few weeks to complete. The boys did the gluing tonight. This will be a gift, so we'll keep the information short so it can be a surprise for you.
For follow up the boys should work on Faith in God, Developing Talents #8. They need to plan a fitness program and follow through for one month. If your child plays a sport, this counts. If not, it can be something as easy as 'ride my scooter for 30 min 3 times a week.'
Also, if your scout has already earned his Wolf, then you should work on earning his religious square knot. This is a special patch that they'll be able to transfer to their Boy Scout uniform and then to an adult uniform. They need to complete the items in the Faith in God book with a square knot next to it.
We are planning a bowling trip for the 9/28 meeting. Look for the tour permit next week with the additional information.
