We started our meeting with the boys doing a thinking puzzle where they tried to balance 12 nails on a single nail. Alex (our Denner) gave out pennies and assigned the prayer and flag ceremony.
We worked on Achievement 12. It is about being courageous. Sis Black read a story called Courage and talked about what things we had to have courage to do. We then briefly talked about hymns that talk about courage and choosing the right.
Sis Black then set up cups with possible answers taped to them for some of the Achievement 12 scenarios. The boys had to use a Nerf gun to shoot down any cups that had answers that they thought they would do in that situation.
Sis Boblett then had the boys make chipboard turtles that they raced against each other. We closed with the usual gumballs and prayer.
This weeks assignment: Review Achievement 12 with your boys being sure to talk about 4 of the scenarios that are important to you. For Faith in God, review the verses to 'Choose the Right' and talk about agency (see Living and Learning the Gospel).
