April 13, 2010

At tonight's meeting we covered Achievement 3. 3a is a healthy habits chart that the boys will complete over the next 14 days. A form was given to them to use. 3b and 3c we covered in class. Please review with your boys to see what they have learned.

We also worked on Elective 16. 16a and 16b are assignments that need to be worked on at home. Please try and do these this week and when completed sign off on them in the book. We suggested this as a Family Home Evening topic. 16c was completed at the meeting. We made first aid neckerchief slides. I know you are probably thinking, "My son doesn't have a neckerchief". Well, now he does (I forgot to bring them-we'll hand them out next week). We want our Wolf Scouts to stand out so at Pack Meetings we will ask that the boys come with their shirts, blue shorts or pants, cub scout belt and neckerchief to the pack meetings.

We then moved our meeting outside to have a review. Crystal and I were Germs and the boys were White Blood Cells. We asked them questions and if they got them right they got to throw a water balloon at us. The Bears came out to watch us so we gave them a refresher course. We then had a water balloon toss contest with Wolfs and Bears as partners. We played several games and had lots of fun. Even Sister Black and Brother Wilson played a game. We didn't want to leave the Webelos asked them to play too.

We are also starting our Denner position again. Each month one of the boys will be the Denner. He will get a special cord to wear on his arm. He will need to come a few minutes early. He will help the leaders to start the meeting and be a good example to the rest of his den. We will start out with our oldest scout James Gallegos and rotate based on age each month.

For those of you who missed the last couple of meetings I will email you specifically what you need to work on with your boys so they can get caught up.
