February 23, 2010

We started off our meeting with two of the scouts who have their Bobcat's showing the "newbies" the things they need to learn to obtain theirs.

Next we played a game where we move cotton balls from one bowl to another with a spoon all while being blindfolded.  We had many laughs with this game.

We finished our centerpieces for the Blue and Gold Banquet that will be held March 10 at 6:30 p.m. We have had some scheduling conflicts so this event will be held outside at the Pavilion so please dress accordingly.

Next we talked about how the achievement we were working on correlates to our Faith In God Book.  We talked about how we need to be fit to do physical activity.  The word of wisdom helps us to make sure we aren't putting things in our bodies that are harmful.  Also in the developing talents section of the Faith in God Book is a section on planning a physical fitness program and participating in it for a month.

Next we made a Feats of Skill paper to track what we do to complete this achievement.  We did the first couple, playing catch, waling on a board and a front roll.

We then closed the meeting and had a snack.

Den meeting next week, March 2, 6:30 at the church.

ASSIGNMENT:  The "newbies" need to work on their Bobcat requirements. The "oldies" could do a refresher of this since they had trouble remember the Law of the Pack.  Also, work to complete Achievement 1.  You do not need to do them all.  You must do 1a-e and then just one more from 1f-l.
