Tonight we had a field trip to the Sam Garcia Western Avenue Library. The boys had to answer questions about the library (ie. what is the fine for an overdue book). They had to use the resources at the library (computer or library personnel) to answer any questions that they didn't know the answer to.
Each boy who didn't all ready have a library card received a card. These cards are only good for using the computer. You will need to go to the library and give them some information so that they will be able to use them to check out library books.
Each boy picked out a book and we checked them out on my card. You can either return them to me when they are done or back to the library. They are due on February 9.
Remember that if your scout hasn't earned his Bobcat yet that you need to be working on that with him (it starts on page 16). When he has completed any portion please sign and date in the book where it says Akela's OK.
We hope everyone had a good time. The library is one of my favorite places to visit.
